We’re super stoked to be there at the event again last Sunday. It was sunny all day, the perfect kind of setting for a festive times. The guys from House The House had a change of scene and despite of street, for Keuken #4 The Jolly Camaraderie, they took over one day at an unused train warehouse, at Gudang Persediaan PT KAI Cikudapateuh Bandung, from 8 am till 10 pm.

There are heaps of foods, drinks, and anything edibles stands lined-up, offering some serious delights. We couldn’t decided which one to try first, because they’re all so mouthwateringly tempting. And we’re finally get a chance to see Jirapah on stage. Then DJ Bergas made some you-will-move-your-head-unconsciously-up-and-down-to-the-beats tunes while we nibbled on some freebie bites from chefs and cooks at Kitchen Stage. We can’t say no to a free food really, especially when it’s so damn (pardon our word) tasty. And as the night grew closer, the crowds became packed with people looking for a good time with company. Thus, we’ve had a ridiculously good time there, noon till dawn.

It’s tomorrow! The event we all been anticipated for months now is finally here. We’re so overly excited about this. Are you?

Below are some of the snaps from Keuken #4 The Jolly Camaraderie’s press conference at Nanny’s Pavillon Setiabudi Bandung yesterday. Chef Odie Djamil, Meizan D. Nataadiningrat from House The House, Adinda Wijaya Putri from Keuken and Imee Putri from Sunlight, gave us a little brief about all the what, why, when, where, who, and how, oh and also a lil’ performances by the three common household items and their dilemma which is quite funny, probably because of their weird uncoordinated hands movement towards each other, and all the things that you should and need to anticipated about the upcoming event.

Gudang Persediaan PT KAI area Cikudapateuh, is where Keuken #4 The Jolly Camaraderie will soon take place. It’s so vastly huge, it consists of several buildings that’s been used for PT KAI’s storage assets, but now they’re mostly empty, unused and unmaintained, so they come across a little bit scary. To get to the venue we have to walk around 2 minutes from the gate and we’re quite impressed with the area for the venue this time. It was scenic, the buildings around was so beautifully decaying yet we could see them preserving what they’re used to be in the past.

With around 150m long and the high roof, making the venue this time feels so much different than the last time. We think it’ll be the most spacious, yet. And we’re wondering, how a hangar as big and as vast like this could transform to become a venue that can give you all the merriness of a festival. But please do remember, the area is still PT KAI’s storage asset, you must consider it a heritage, and not all the area are accessible (some are still forbidden areas for public) and we want to keep them unharmed.

Yesterday we get the chance to saw the venue, below are some of the photos we took that afternoon.

Fresh-from-the-oven Wheat Bread with a bowl of creamy Apple-Carrot Soup. Couldn’t get heartier than that. Hence our overblown, jump-out-of-our-seats excitement when we documented Fauzy, Ghia, and Nuri from Kandura Keramik over their baking and cooking trial for their Kitchen Stage performance at Keuken #4, The Jolly Camaraderie. The smell of freshly baked bread inside the oven and the sound of steamy soup in the pot is an effective way of getting our stomach grumbling. The bread turns out to be just the perfect accompaniment for the soup. And it just so happens that when carrot and apple get together, they make some pretty delicious creamy soup. The hardest part will be stopping after one.

They’re gonna bake and cook enough bread and soup for you at Cocktail Hour Session around 3pm-6pm. Prepare yourself for an overly hearty treats from them.
