Dheg Dheg Plat is one-of-a-kind music forum, initiated by Anto Arief, Idhar Resmadi, Rimba Patria, and Budi Warsito, to invites music lovers to gather, bring his/her favorite vinyl and tells the story behind it.
Last Friday, they visited House The House’s studio. From Native Son, Prambors Band, to Hall & Oates, the soothing yet unique typical sound of the vinyls encourage us to just sit back and listen to its tunes. In this 5th event, they invited Morgue Vanguard aka Herry “Ucok” Sutresna, one of veteran in Bandung’s underground music scene, to play and tell the story of his favorite vinyls from Public Enemy.
Here are some snaps from Dheg Dheg Plat Vol. 5.

Last Saturday (6/7) House The House, in collaboration with U&KL, held the Birdhouse Project: Launching Exhibition at U&KL Eco-Forestry Area, Bandung. Designers, architects, creative collectives/studios, and artists participated in this project.
In addition to the birdhouse project exhibition there’s Trivia Club #2, hosted by Artiandi from House The House. Invited two designers as well as exhibitors, Mitchy Riffandie and Zanun Nurangga to talked and discussed about today’s do-it-yourself for greater and wider good. And there’s free meal for the hungry visitors by Arifin Windarman / Chef Downey and Kenny Soeriatmadja from Bin Ukon. It was yumm all around! And the performances by Swara Gerilya, DJ Melody Garcia, DJ Egga, Artiandi and the most anticipated DJ Kroto.
We’re amazed with the creativity of all the birdhouses exhibited there, perhaps some of them are not ideal houses for bird, but then again, it’s always nice to be different or yet, playful (to us humans at least :p).
As we mentioned before in our previous post, we’re participated too. We named our bird house “Rue”, it has no special meaning, we just love the name because it’s simple like the house itself. We loved to see the interaction between Rue and the visitors, especially the kids.
All of the birdhouse are still displayed at U&KL Store and available for purchased.

We’re super stoked to be there at the event again last Sunday. It was sunny all day, the perfect kind of setting for a festive times. The guys from House The House had a change of scene and despite of street, for Keuken #4 The Jolly Camaraderie, they took over one day at an unused train warehouse, at Gudang Persediaan PT KAI Cikudapateuh Bandung, from 8 am till 10 pm.
There are heaps of foods, drinks, and anything edibles stands lined-up, offering some serious delights. We couldn’t decided which one to try first, because they’re all so mouthwateringly tempting. And we’re finally get a chance to see Jirapah on stage. Then DJ Bergas made some you-will-move-your-head-unconsciously-up-and-down-to-the-beats tunes while we nibbled on some freebie bites from chefs and cooks at Kitchen Stage. We can’t say no to a free food really, especially when it’s so damn (pardon our word) tasty. And as the night grew closer, the crowds became packed with people looking for a good time with company. Thus, we’ve had a ridiculously good time there, noon till dawn.
If you by any chance missed the event, we’re pretty excited to give you a little snapshot of all the festivity. Until then, see you at Keuken #5!

It’s tomorrow! The event we all been anticipated for months now is finally here. We’re so overly excited about this. Are you?
Below are some of the snaps from Keuken #4 The Jolly Camaraderie’s press conference at Nanny’s Pavillon Setiabudi Bandung yesterday. Chef Odie Djamil, Meizan D. Nataadiningrat from House The House, Adinda Wijaya Putri from Keuken and Imee Putri from Sunlight, gave us a little brief about all the what, why, when, where, who, and how, oh and also a lil’ performances by the three common household items and their dilemma which is quite funny, probably because of their weird uncoordinated hands movement towards each other, and all the things that you should and need to anticipated about the upcoming event.
See you there!
“A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song.”
Birds are fairly self-sufficient creatures really. Some kind of birds able to migrate across the country with little more than a few flaps of their wings, while some of the domestic ones prefer to hop along every trees and grass in our backyard for a bite. And just like us, our birdie buddies would appreciate a comfortable bed to crash in now and then.
Right at the middle of the year, when the sky is clear, the sun is shinning brightly and our feathered friends are chirping from the nearest trees, we got an invitation to participate in Bird House Project. This is an initiative project, launched by House The House and collaboration with U&KL. The event launching exhibition will be on July 6, 2013, at U&KL Eco Forestry Area, Jalan Gudang Selatan no 88 Bandung.
“A small celebration of the city’s design and creative scene by the means of its interaction to the city environment, with designed bird houses as a medium, inviting numbers of architects, designers, and artists from broad Indonesian creative base. Along with the notion of exceeding development within our urban surroundings, Bird House Project projected to remind these tomorrow’s people on the importance of constructing and planning such humble habitat placed not solely for humans’ use.”
Below are some of the photos of participant meeting and technical briefing, last Friday when we visited the site.
