“This nation will remain the land of the free only as long as it is the home of the brave.” - Elmer Davis
Happy 68th Independence Day to our homeland.
Dheg Dheg Plat is one-of-a-kind music forum, initiated by Anto Arief, Idhar Resmadi, Rimba Patria, and Budi Warsito, to invites music lovers to gather, bring his/her favorite vinyl and tells the story behind it.
Last Friday, they visited House The House’s studio. From Native Son, Prambors Band, to Hall & Oates, the soothing yet unique typical sound of the vinyls encourage us to just sit back and listen to its tunes. In this 5th event, they invited Morgue Vanguard aka Herry “Ucok” Sutresna, one of veteran in Bandung’s underground music scene, to play and tell the story of his favorite vinyls from Public Enemy.
Here are some snaps from Dheg Dheg Plat Vol. 5.

Holla! How everybody’s doing? It’s been busy weeks for us here with our own stacks of works to do and the constant daily reminder of being adult and its routines became less and less fun to deal with. We blame the so-called quarter life crisis.
Obviously, we are older and have to deal with much more mature things now, but there’s still something so pleasingly delightful of having one day off as a grownups, forget all the responsibilities and consequences, and relived the total fun of being a kid, once again.
Here’s a little song for all fellow kid-at-hearts alike.
Happy National Children’s Day to all the kids here in Indonesia. May all the joy and optimism will always live in your hearts.

Last Saturday (6/7) House The House, in collaboration with U&KL, held the Birdhouse Project: Launching Exhibition at U&KL Eco-Forestry Area, Bandung. Designers, architects, creative collectives/studios, and artists participated in this project.
In addition to the birdhouse project exhibition there’s Trivia Club #2, hosted by Artiandi from House The House. Invited two designers as well as exhibitors, Mitchy Riffandie and Zanun Nurangga to talked and discussed about today’s do-it-yourself for greater and wider good. And there’s free meal for the hungry visitors by Arifin Windarman / Chef Downey and Kenny Soeriatmadja from Bin Ukon. It was yumm all around! And the performances by Swara Gerilya, DJ Melody Garcia, DJ Egga, Artiandi and the most anticipated DJ Kroto.
We’re amazed with the creativity of all the birdhouses exhibited there, perhaps some of them are not ideal houses for bird, but then again, it’s always nice to be different or yet, playful (to us humans at least :p).
As we mentioned before in our previous post, we’re participated too. We named our bird house “Rue”, it has no special meaning, we just love the name because it’s simple like the house itself. We loved to see the interaction between Rue and the visitors, especially the kids.
All of the birdhouse are still displayed at U&KL Store and available for purchased.
