When the sun has set by Morrie & Oslo / www.morrieandoslo.com

We like to shoot anything. Especially the sky. Beautiful sky often makes us excited. We like ordinary streets in our town, too. Sometimes we like fancy things, weird shadows, strange junks, cute cats, or peculiar children in the playground. We have no restrictions on subjects when taking pictures.

Capturing the sky is about embracing the whim of the weather. The sky can be unpredictable. The day can be still or breezy. To lie down on our backs and stare up at the sky for a super long time. When the seasons change the sky give the landscape aspects that are always different to watch.

But watching the sky outside is mostly an exercise in wonder. The feeling of grass underfoot and the sight of the darken sky with a dash of burnt orange and some lovely sky blue hues. That golden warmth pouring down from the sky at the end of the day is our favorite thing to watch nowadays. As the grey clouds pile up around the previously baby blue sky, for the night is upon us the day will soon be just a memory. And try as we might to replicate the experience, nothing will come close. So, let’s enjoy all the beautiful sky everyday while we can.

This sets of sky were captured in several days on January 2015 at exactly 5.30-6pm.

Psychogeography #3: Alun-Alun Bandung

You will always had a certain first impressions every time you’re going somewhere for the first time. You could fall deeply to that place or worst, you don’t even want to visit it ever again. Well, we’re just the same. We’re the first-impressions-do-matter kind of people, and when we visit the City Square for the first time after the renovation, it was waaaay better than the previous one when there’s always negative rumors regarding the square at night even though there’s a huge mosque there. It was sad, really.

But these days, the City Square is crowded with people picnicking or simply just having their quality time there with their loved ones, especially in the weekend. To put it short, the new City Square is lively. We heart those artificial grass mat and the best thing about our visit is that finally we get the chance to go up top to the mosque tower where we can saw Bandung from high above. It was exciting and a fun alternative spot to spent our weekend around the city, enjoying the new family-friendly public space, just like other tourists does nowadays. Another reason to love our hometown :)

First Roll: EOS Kiss

Being a part of Jellyclub gave us a lot of exciting experiences and one of those is that we get to try working or experimenting with cameras we never get our hands on before. Out of curiosity, we borrow Enad‘s EOS Kiss and for this post we finally get a chance to tested it out. At first, the body of this camera reminded us a lot with the DSLR we used to work with, we had to remind ourselves, and each other, that this is the analogue camera not the digital ones and we’re pretty amazed with the result. We can’t wait to work with this camera again for our several upcoming projects, before it gets handed on to other Jellyclub member.

So here goes, the result from our first roll with EOS Kiss.

Our Weekend, part three

The best thing about weekend probably to spent the days doing nothing. But we won’t ask you to do the same, because sometimes we just have to alter our mind from having a second attempt to sleep throughout the day on our comfy and warm bed and just get up, pick up your camera and stroll around the city or suburbs or any place really because, I’m quoting one of the best film of all time, the adventure is out there! Yes, it really does because you’ll probably capture something interesting on your little trip with friends and to have those moments preserved makes your weekend a bit special.

So yup, here goes Our Weekend part 3.
