Our kind of ideal weekend is when you can stroll the streets in the morning, having a picnic in the park with wicker baskets filled with homemade sandwiches, while enjoying each other company at all times. While real life may not always be exactly like this, but we always love the idea to spent our days-off dedicated entirely to enjoy the simplest things in life.
If you’re a bit of a picnic-craze like us, then maybe we passed by each other in this event last Saturday. It’s called A Day In A Park. Hence the name, it’s a day-long picnic-themed event taking place in NuArt Sculpture Park in collaboration with House The House, Agritekture, Open Table and Bengkel Tari Ayu Bulan. We’re lucky enough to be invited for this event. It was a day filled with exciting workshop for the little ones, tasty treats by your favorite stands, followed by a delicious afternoon in a pop-up picnic area that’s been meticulously adorn with lovely settings in the same hue as the dress-code for the event, white. We were pampered by delicious sets of food specially made by team of super-talented chefs from Open Table. Packed with sweet tunes and the traditional dancing performances from local talents as well as international to finish it up. It was a feast for the eyes as well as our happy belly.
More whity-white goodness after the jump!

Do you love receiving handwritten letters from a faraway friend, hearty package from your pen-pal or a meaningful postcard from your traveller buddy? Well, we’re sucker for them. Because the fact that your letter would cheer someone up was quite elating.
Well, we assume people still do send them despite all these techie ways of keeping in touch, otherwise post offices would be long gone, right? So we’re thinking, how about making some postcards with the edible theme for Keuken, since we’ll be having the event in less than 2 weeks? To say we thrilled would be an understatement.
The process of making them was much fun. We only prepared 10 bundles for every set. There’s 3 sets of four postcard consist of 1 veggies series and 1 fruits series (there’s 3 different illustration in every series), along with 1 spices and 1 picnic theme included in every pack. And the best part is they’ll be available for sale at Keuken‘s merch stand. We jumped right on in a heartbeat.
10 x 15 cm postcards with address lines

Have a great week everyone!

Last Saturday, me and Morrie planned to have a breakfast outdoor and we decided to go to Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda. It was Morrie’s first time to go there, so we explored the forest a bit and documented some of natures best with our analog camera.
If you’re wondering, why we carry an old-school beauty case to the forest? Well, we had an idea to use this vintage case as a picnic bag and turns out, it was quite roomy for a loft of garlic breads, pack of cheese, some cutleries and cups for two :)
We enjoyed our homemade garlic breads while having the warmest conversations throughout the day surrounded by trees. It was a lovely morning spent with my lovely partner.
