One Afternoon in the Playground

Our love of playground started way back in childhood. As kids, we would beg our parents to let us play with all of its rides to our little hearts content. So imagine our excitement when we discovered a temporary playground near our neighborhood last week.

The playground is only operated at certain month, usually when it’s on long school holiday like now and always crammed full of people of all ages. Even though all of its arcades were not the most sophisticated ones (it was operated completely by human-power, how cool is that?), it didn’t stop us from having the best fun possible!

KEUKEN #2: The Flavorsome Intimacy

A few weeks to go for the most anticipated fourth, yet we could still relieved the merriness of the previous Keuken. We experienced a day when the usual street shut down from vehicular traffic and all the stands and stalls offering every delicacy imaginable and the live cooking stage you could drooled just from taking a single whiff, with a day-long live entertainment spilled onto the sidewalks from the earliest morning till down. The crowds were tremendous, even the sudden rain in the afternoon couldn’t stop people from pouring down all the stands available. It’s hard to say no for delicious food, really. Believe us, we tried.

Below are some of the pictures of Keuken #2, The Flavorsome Intimacy. You can see the past line-up here. In the meantime, we’re preparing something special for Keuken #4. Can’t wait to share them all with you :)

Surprise Stove: Open Picnic

About a year ago, we went to KEUKEN‘s very first Open Picnic at Taman Cempaka. The day was surprisingly pleasant. When a casual get together in such a vast park with various different sections where you could find a nice spot to scooted around and parked your picnic rug, shared along a basket of homemade food, served with a glass of fresh lemonade tea is an actual kind of happiness. The rays of sunshine penetrating through the vast leaves from the nearby trees, the smell of grass and the sound of warm conversations along with good tunes gathered us together.

With cooking performance from Chef Downey a.k.a. Arifin Windarman, photography workshop from Taman Fotografi, Diet Kantong Plastik Campaign, Ngabring Biking gathering from Bike.Bdg and everybody else contributed for a leisure day under the cool shade. There is nothing more pleasurable than spend your weekend picnicking with friends and enjoying a nice breezy afternoon in the park.

Take a day off, gather close.

Psychogeography № 2

It was one sunny Sunday afternoon and we had a sudden idea of an afternoon stroll. We start from Dago (Ir. H. Djuanda) street, enjoying our walk down the road, then we decided to stop by at the City Hall. The City Hall is particularly empty in the afternoon and we had a little picnic whilst imagining us as tourists in our own city. It was fun!
